Lawyer’s transformation proves you’re never ‘too busy’

There is no such thing as ‘too busy’ when it comes to improving your health and fitness.

City lawyer Morgan always thought she was too busy with her job to get in the shape that she wanted…and her health had suffered because of it.
But it was only when she saw the incredible results of an Ultimate Performance body transformation on a work colleague at her law firm that she decided to finally take action.
Carving out just a couple of hours in her busy weekly schedule to come and train at UP made a huge difference for Morgan.
Her two-and-a-half-year journey with UP has seen her lose an incredible amount of body fat, get in the shape she wanted and take back control of her health.
“What I knew about UP before I started was that it was incredibly effective," she explained. "A very close friend of mine, also a lawyer, also worked really long hours, came in, trained with Nick and lost so much weight.
“He went from being a pretty pudgy guy to being absolutely svelte and it was amazing and everybody thought it was great.”
It was seeing these exceptional results first hand that inspired her to come in and start her own transformation.
“I’ve never seen something so effective on a friend,” she said.
“So I walked in and met Tom and I said ‘I’m ready. I’m ready today. Let’s do this.’ So that’s how I got here.”
Like many leading business execs and CEOs that come to UP, Morgan was working incredibly long hours and says she wasn’t looking after herself or her body.
A demanding job meant she was neglecting sleep, diet and exercise…and her health and performance was suffering because of it.
“Before I started at UP I was really overweight, I was carrying a lot of the emotions of that as well – so feeling sluggish all the time, my sleep wasn’t great, I was very focussed on work and wasn’t often focused on myself, so as a result I was probably dragging a lot.
“Mentally I was a bit down, so it was a very different experience to come in here.”
But the UP effect was almost instantaneous. From the first day of training at UP City and implementing a consistent nutrition plan, Morgan experienced a huge change in herself.
“It’s an unbelievable difference. I feel I have way more energy, even from Day 1 – the first day plan, changing what I eat for breakfast – totally more energy every day.
“So even from Day 1 I felt really different and then once I started to see results and once I started to feel lighter and leaner and just slept better, all of that combined just meant that…it’s just really a much better place to be.”
Morgan says the effects of her transformation have been profound. It’s not just had a huge impact on her body composition either – it has given her a new perspective on how to train and how to eat that she says has ‘set her up for life’.
“It’s been one of the best experiences of my life – not just in my workout life.
“In terms of women who might be considering coming in and who might be a little shy of the weightlifting side of it, I have to say that it’s just so incredibly effective.
“I found that it also as the benefit of allowing you to not have an insane diet. One of the things I learned here was that you need all the protein to be able to eat and feed into that, so you’re not starving yourself and working out, so that’s a really good combination.
“Frankly it has made a huge difference in the way I look – I look younger, my face is thinner – so it’s not just my body, my face looks younger because it’s thinner.”
One of the biggest barriers Morgan had to starting a transformation with UP was finding the time to train.
It’s a common refrain among so many company bosses and business leaders that they’re ‘too busy’.

“Try and fit in two hours, because once you fit in two hours, then you see that you can do it.
“I think for other people thinking ‘how could I possibly fit this in because I work so hard, is that I’ve taken a lesson from working out here at UP.
“Now those gym hours are my non-negotiables. It helps me bring boundaries to my work life that I was never able to set before.”
