The Truth About Transformations ‘Celebs’ Don’t Tell You
We worship the cult of celebrity, not the expert.
What gives credibility today is no longer experience, education or even a track record, but Instagram likes and Twitter reach.
Add the toxic mix of reality TV stars who will sell their grandma to make a quick buck and you've got a very dangerous mix.
It's human nature to look for the quick fix and unscrupulous marketers are on the lookout for the new gimmick.
The best new gimmicks are reality TV stars who have an audience but no real substance. They are usually desperate to cash in on their fame because they live champagne lifestyles on lemonade money.
As a so-called "expert trainer", I don't blame these "celebs". They are victims just like the mugs/punters/gullible people their products prey on. The star is seduced by easy money, the general public is seduced by the dream of a quick fix.
Anyone can get slim fast. Starve yourself and you lose weight, it's that simple. But this ruins your health, your looks, and very often gives the victim eating disorders and body dysmorphia. There is a plague of this within the online fitness world, both for men and women who feel they must live up to ridiculously impossible standards.
The fitness industry is schizophrenic in nature. A large part of it is very good and cares about helping people. The other, much smaller, but often more visible part only cares about fleecing money.
The supplement industry, a multi-billion dollar industry, is the worst example of this, but the reader needs to be wary of everything they see online.
The Instagram fitness stars who sell you their "booty building program for three low prices of £19.99 a month" are scandalous hucksters who have usually built their bum with photoshop and Brazilian butt lift fillers!
They sell you the dream that it's easy, fast and that everyone can look like their favourite celeb. To look like your favourite celeb takes more than just diet and exercise, it takes genetics!
It's not 100% true that if it's too good to be true, it's not true! There are some amazing examples of transformations out there. They all have one thing in common, and it's the one thing that 99% don't want to sell you, including the Body Coach and his diet books with no calories listed.
The truth is that transformations are possible, but only with major lifestyle changes, discipline and sacrifice, and this is why most of what you see online is fake – it's not that it's impossible, it's just that it takes too much hard work.
