Beta Alanine is one of the latest “secrets” in nutritional supplementation that has taken the US by storm but has yet to filter down all that much to the gyms in London and the UK. It is unquestionably one of the most effective workout aids I have ever encountered, and sends some of our personal training clients thrive on it and have noticeably better performing workouts.
Beta Alanine directly increases the level of carnosine in the muscle, and this can lead to –
1.) A very dramatic increase in work capacity.
2.) An increase of the anaerobic threshold.
3.) An increase in lean muscle mass and rate of recovery.
